Double Denim - LFW day 1

Following on from an already crazy week with the heaviest suitcase (which had the world's shortest handle, why would someone do that?!), I'd been filming lots of outfits in London for an upcoming project, which I can share with you soon eeep!

Before I knew it, it was Friday, London Fashion week had commenced! I was up bright and early to pack getting ready to settle into another hotel and get ready for the day ahead. Come 8am and I was in the ME hotel having breakfast with the wonderful ladies at Missguided and lots of my fabulous blogger babes.

For this Fashion week I wanted to be comfy and warm, my idea for both days was to have a fairly simple outfit set off with a statement jacket. And you cannot get more statement than a Hannah Beth Fincham number! Seriously the level of hand sewn detail on this jacket! Imagine sewing on all those individual beads!

Once that was finished it was straight onto meeting with New Look at Somerset House to film for their YouTube channel, check it out the video here.

Armed with a pastel pink Instax Mini 8, we captured things that inspired us, they are so cute, I would love one for myself, but they are just so expensive for the novelty of cute mini one off pictures.

I attended two shows, first was Jamie Wei Huang with The Body Shop.
The models walked to Rammstein with wet hair styled half over their faces.
The collection featured contrasting textures, patterns, tassels and layers. Pieces were often wearable with a gothic/punk edge.

Second was Felder Felder with Schwarzkopf.
The collection featured numerous sheer and lace fabrics, from tops to floor length dresses.
A play with different textures, cut outs and patterns. Highly wearable and beautifully feminine.

I also ventured backstage to see how the hair for the show was achieved. Note all models sported a fringe, these were added with temporarily glued in wefts of hair. I just loved the tousled undone look, and what a great idea to!

  6. Ahh the jacket is so gorgeous! All the intricate detailing, and I love the way you styled it - comfort is key at a winter fashion week! I'm glad I got my polaroid before the prices went mental, the annoying thing now is finding decently priced film!
